Join Elated this saturday (January 23, 2010) for the first annual Dub City Music Festival. This festival is a all age music event that gives the next upcoming reggae bands a chance to get there name out and show the crowd what there really about. It is going to be held @ the shore ultra lounge/seaport marina hotel 6200 E 2nd St, Long Beach, Ca. Check out the Flyer The art work was done by yours truly, I hand drew the logo font, i think it achieves the feel of the Festival.

Did a little Graffiti Piece today. It says GALE which is just another way to spell Gally. Snakes have been a fixation for me lately. Weird becaue i haven't seen a real snake in years.

I've been watching Angels Baseball. Yes i am also a Dodgers Fan. I never understood why i have to choose between the two. They are in different leagues. I thought it was cool that they had this memorial for Nick Adenhart. Of course i sacrificed my hat to the memorial that ones for you #34

Man its been a long time since i posted anything. We have been doing a lot of events and just trying to spread the word lately. We sponsored a Bad Azz concert at Cohibas night club here in long beach. The next week we also sponsored a 420 show at the Rhythm Lounge also here in long beach. Shout outs to Long Beach Party Project for inviting us out

Just another day out in sunny LA

After a long day of classes what would be a better way to relax then a trip to see Los Doyers destroy the Giants. How could you not love Los Angles? Amidst the smog, sunshine always seams to find its what through. Views like this are really what inspire me.

Who doesn't hate LA traffic? We left about 5:50 for a 7:10 start, and we arrived at the top of the third inning (around 7:40)

Finally after we made it to the game, and found our seats, what else would there be to do? Get a dodgers dog and beer. I was pretty stoke that the ha blue moon on tap. I was not looking forward to drinking Bud Light. The Super Dodger Dog was delicious it was all beef! I wish i had a picture of it for you.
This guy came over to our section trying to start a wave. I guess he was upset the that right field pavilion were the only ones to get the way really going. Well he came over and say "all your motha fuckas are going to start the wave." it was amazing.
After having a few beers it got pretty confusing as to who was who. It was Jackie Robinson night so every player was wearing the number 42. Even the giants players.

We Love LA. I want to thank the good people of 74th school who invited us out. We have been making their shirts for awhile and there really good people. They had some extra tickets and decided to send them our way.

Summer is on the Way

This past week has kind of been an Oh Shit moment. Being so busy with school and Pristine Prints time seems to just fly by too quickly. I have been planning on releasing the summer line within a week of my last class, that day being only five weeks away its time to get back on my hustle again. Last weekend I finally found some time between meetings with clients to do some sample work. Here is the first design of for summer.

Look quick or it might be a blur. There is only so much someone can do on the computer. Sure there are templates to get idea of what the finished product will look like but I like to try all my color ideas out on actual shirt. Some options stay most go. Can you see which ones are staying around?

Yes that is Hannah Montana or Mylie Cyrus on that key chain. Either way she have me an idea for a shirt based upon whom her dad is (more on that idea soon).

Anyways back to the drawing, my sketchbook is getting filled up rather quickly. Don’t forget about the 4/20 show we will be sponsoring on Monday.

Elated Printing Apparel

What a week! Busy is starting to become our middle name. Our printing business has become more of a full time job. From meeting with clients, quick LA trips, to printing the final product were staying pretty busy. In doing all this work we come across some pretty cool shirts. Our good friend Jamie, who we went to high school with, recently decided to start a clothing company toP sekomS. I spelled the name that way to give you a hint as to what the name means. Aside from all this work we have been doing I have to find some time to be a full time student. I’m sorry this place is supposed to be an “Art” store but every time I’ve gone there in the past week I have been very disappointed. There black illustration board wasn’t black it was brown. Oh well I will just have to make due.

At lest I had a nice sunset on the way home. Its beginning to look like Summer (watch its going to rain tomorrow)

Whats up to everyone in LB I hope all is well, I hear its nothin but sunny days for you guys. Im so fuckin jealous, I havent seen the sun in 2 days, and I found out last night that we have etered a 7 day storm which is kickin right now. That is one thing I did not expect to miss, sunny fuckin days... Elated definitely can have a following in San Francisco, people ask me about the ELATED shirts I rep all the time, I went to a rave and had ladies trippin on my cake shirt, buyin a piece on haight(right next to ashbury) had a head shop owner all up on my obama shirts nuts. On the home front, I got a cat named Cricket, we call him crick-ricket cus hes a G.. We adopted his 20 pound ass from a home the other day and now hes runnin our house kickin it hyphey style .HAH.

Elated Update

Im home sick tonight so I’m taking this opportunity as a chance to blog a little bit. I know its been a awhile but over here at elated we live pretty hectic life’s. School full time, work, elated (always a full time job) and our printing company pristine prints it takes a lot of time. Its not often I get a night off but I always cherish the few moments I get to relax. Thursday night I got a chance to head out to the staples center to watch the Lakers play. I haven’t been to staples in a long time and I haven’t had an opportunity to see the Lakers play up close and personal. Thursday they played to Suns, which made the game even better. Shaq Vs. Kobe, what an awesome match up. When Shaq got fouled I was ready I was hoping to get to see him miss some free throws like he used to when we was on the Lakers. I was disappointed when he went 6 for 7.

I just wanted to take a moment to remind everyone out there to keep business, business and friendships, friendships. You can end up loosing money, business, and friendships. It seems like (from my blog reading) that there a lot of splitting apart of companies and closing down of shops (both printing and retail). Yeah were in a recession but I think ego has to do with most of these falling-outs. My advice is stay true to yourself and fallow the path that you choose.

Elated’s summer line is in the works. I have already made a few design that are very solid and should be a great addition to your wardrobe. I’m in the process of reaching out to a clothing company and good friends of ours for a collaboration project. We had one in the works but that sank harder then the titanic. Trust me this new project will be nothing less then amazing. As for now the current season it is still on sale click the store link to pick up some shirts before the sale is over
