Elated Apparel: 02.2009

Im home sick tonight so I’m taking this opportunity as a chance to blog a little bit. I know its been a awhile but over here at elated we live pretty hectic life’s. School full time, work, elated (always a full time job) and our printing company pristine prints it takes a lot of time. Its not often I get a night off but I always cherish the few moments I get to relax. Thursday night I got a chance to head out to the staples center to watch the Lakers play. I haven’t been to staples in a long time and I haven’t had an opportunity to see the Lakers play up close and personal. Thursday they played to Suns, which made the game even better. Shaq Vs. Kobe, what an awesome match up. When Shaq got fouled I was ready I was hoping to get to see him miss some free throws like he used to when we was on the Lakers. I was disappointed when he went 6 for 7.

I just wanted to take a moment to remind everyone out there to keep business, business and friendships, friendships. You can end up loosing money, business, and friendships. It seems like (from my blog reading) that there a lot of splitting apart of companies and closing down of shops (both printing and retail). Yeah were in a recession but I think ego has to do with most of these falling-outs. My advice is stay true to yourself and fallow the path that you choose.

Elated’s summer line is in the works. I have already made a few design that are very solid and should be a great addition to your wardrobe. I’m in the process of reaching out to a clothing company and good friends of ours for a collaboration project. We had one in the works but that sank harder then the titanic. Crazy weather we are having in southern California right? Happy Presidents day! For all of you who got the day off you are lucky. Cal State Long beach thought it would be a good idea to hold classes today. So I am here stuck in this classroom as it rains cats and dogs outside, at lest I have some time to catch up on some blogging. I know you haven’t seen any new product form us lately, and no haven’t fallen of the face of the earth. We are still here doing it big as always. Were holding off on the new spring drop for a few months. Mainly due to the economy but trust me once it drops so be prepared for greatness. On a happier note I hope everyone had a good valentines day. I know I did. My girlfriend set up this art installation piece. It was interactive and fun basically it was awesome. <3
